Carol of the Shepherds (Meditation on Quem Pastores Laudavere) (Grade

The hymn tune “Quem Pastores Laudavere” dates back to the 14th century. Originally a carol, it celebrates the Christmas story, in particular the visit of the angel Gabriel to the shepherds. This simple but expressive setting presents three verses of the carol tune.
