Pierre Lantier (1910-1998) won the Grand Prix de Rome in 1937 and is remembered for a variety of works, most significantly his Sicilienne for Alto Saxophone and Piano. Lantier's Sicilienne is particularly useful in learning elegance and a flowing musicality.
