Louis Gianella (ca. 1778 - 1817) was an Italian flutist and composer. He was engaged in 1790 as an instrumentalist in the Orchestra of La Scala. He went to Paris in about 1800 and earned his living by playing in various theater orchestras. This edition of his “Nocturne in G” (Op. 28, No. 1) for two flutes and violoncello (or bassoon) was edited by Elwyn Wienandt.
