Wladyslaw Szpilman is the celebrated composer and pianist, whose remarkable memoirs of survival in the Warsaw ghetto of World War II are the subject of Roman Polanski's award-winning film The Pianist. Some of Szpilman's most popular songs from the 1930s to the 1970s have been recorded on the new disc Wendy Lands Sings the Music of the Pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman.
