Loch Lomond: No. 2 from Scottish Folk Song Suite CME Celtic Voices
Roll over or click to zoom in
This is one of the most famous of all Scottish songs - a song of friendship, of love, and of parting. This arrangement begins as a march, with soft, gentle (distant) bagpipes heard in the upper voices, as the singers resolve to part without sadness. The piece becomes progressively more legato and the pace slows. Finally, the end lingers, not wanting to leave the true love and memoires behind. No. 2 in Kesselman's
Scottish Folk Song Suite. Duration: 3:15.
